The Killers
Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboards), David Keuning (guitar), Mark Stoermer (bass), and Ronnie Vannucci (drums) are the four who make up the band, The Killers. They took the fashionista pop world by storm in summer 2004 with "Somebody Told Me." The perfectly stylish song pulls from the band's influences -- the Smiths, New Order, Oasis, and the Cure -- and it was just enough to get them on MTV. Part new wave and part new-millennium post-punk, this Las Vegas foursome originally got together in 2002.

Guest wrote on 15th Aug 2008, 23:24h: Oh? D= Lol, well my review was nothing special at least, so I'm good :p Just the usual "I can't wait for the new album" and "oh em gee brandon shaved." :F My review for Sawdust had been cut in half, too, but I had copied it before I posted :S |

Guest wrote on 13th Dec 2007, 1:05h: To be truly honest, what you just said makes no sense to me what so ever. What ARE you trying to say? I get that you don't like this band, but where are you getting all these suicidal/people who kill/jackass/wierdos - crap? Sorry, but I'm finding these statements of yours to be rather asinine. If you dont like them, you don't like them. At least make your review clear as to why not... i.e. their sound, the lyrics, music, what their music portrays, etc. It's really not that hard to make a decent review, darling. As for me, Brandon may have a bit of an ego, but I do enjoy their interesting lyrics with some twists here and there. They may not be THE best band of all time (although, that depends on everyone else's personal opinion), but they're my favorite band as it stands. Despite Brandon's seemingly prissy, egotistical appearance, those traits alone don't represent the band as a whole. Mark's bass (which became more prominant to me in"Sawdust") combined with Dave's guitar work fairly good. Of course, I think it's Brandon's vocals that that appeal to me the most... It reminds me of Robert Smith's unique voice. Even though I haven't liked every song that they've recored, I enjoy most of them due to the concepts and the atmosphere that's created. And excuse me for being stubborn, but I must comment on the fact that you say you're tired of them. Really, they don't get too much publicity. I can understand if it's an overplayed song here and there such as "When You Were Young." As much as I do like that song, I'm quite sick of hearing it on the radio station I listen to the most, along with it continuously being on the top ten (on this site, mind you.) ...Personally, I think they have better songs than that. |

Guest wrote on 8th Dec 2007, 12:19h: Well, why do they like to call themselves "The Killers" then? |

Guest wrote on 7th Dec 2007, 20:39h: And on another note: Who ever said they killed? I suggest you learn the origin of where they got their name. |

Guest wrote on 7th Dec 2007, 20:38h: Charwello, must you always so crude? It's a matter of opinon. Obviously you don't like them, but others do. Insulting people like that is unnecessary. No offense, but The Killers seem to be more normal than you--at least have more intellect, anyway. Maybe you should think before you type, love. Reading your incessantly annoying comments is getting to be old. |
