Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin was the definitive heavy metal band. It wasn't just their crushingly loud interpretation of the blues — it was how they incorporated mythology, mysticism, and a variety of other genres (most notably world music and British folk) — into their sound. Led Zeppelin had mystique. They rarely gave interviews, since the music press detested the band. Consequently, the only connection the audience had with the band was through the records and the concerts.

The tightest and hardest working band in history.

Am I prejudiced? Sure. I got to see them live 6 times in the States bewteen the summer of 1972 and the middle of 1977, but I've also seen The Who, Tull, Clapton, Springsteen and loads of other bands,
and NOBODY ever put on a show like Zeppelin. NOBODY.

Well said PariaH! I agree, Led Zeppelin are amazing (as is Bach, for that matter) and my dad got me into them was little. He went to see them in 1974 and he constantly teases me about it - he's an idiot!

LOL MC Bouncey, you really shouldn't show your ignorance in public. Led Zeppelin are one of the finest bands ever and a lot of the bands/artists you listen to would agree, after all, they've probably stolen samples to make their poor excuse for music out
of it.

John Paul Jones is the only guitarist that I would compare to J.S. Bach (Yes, his composition is THAT good!), not that you'd know who J.S. Bach was Bouncey. I'd recommend the Brandenburg Concertos to get you started although you probably won't
like it, it's real music after all.
