Guest wrote on 18th Sep 2006, 15:00h: On September 15, 2006, I went to see Joan As Police Woman live at a local venue in my hometown. The place was packed and the atmosphere was full of expectation. JAPW entered the stage at 20.15 and I didn’t really know what to expect… I had not heard her music before but had only heard very good things about her. But music is so personal… However - , - from the moment JAPW took the stage, she put a spell on everybody attending. A powerful voice singing beautifully intense and fragile songs, she kept everybody quiet during the songs. It was like being taken into a dream, accompanied by a piano and an acoustic guitar. However, in between songs, the applause was very appreciative..! She seemed a bit surprised by the huge response :-) She treated us to a couple of new songs and two encores as well, each and every one as gorgeous as you can think of. This lady is obviously not a novice, she clearly knows what she wants to say and she says it beautifully. Needless to say, I went out to buy her cd the very next day! |
