Lyrics: Lay Back Lover

We’ve done the best we could to keep love burnin´ There’s not a thing we haven’t tried Just like children we’re still learning The secret ways to keep our love alive We spent too many days Searchin´ for some magic way And overlooked the thing that was so near Why don’t we Lay back lover Hold on to each other And let love take over from here It’s time we realize that love is hazy It’s not that hard to understand If we want love rhyme and love with reason We’ve got to do it hand in hand There’s no sense in wastin´ time Tryin´ to plan love like a line All we’ve ever needed is right here If we just Lay back lover Hold on to each other And let love take over from here You know love is always standin´ by Lookin´ us right in the eye Can’t you hear it whisper in your ear For us to Lay back lover Hold on to each other And let love take over from here
