Guest wrote on 30th Aug 2010, 20:34h: Originally conceived and developed as "Tolv Kvinnor I Ett Hus" (Twelve Women In A House), this album was one original song and one misplaced song (a forced addition of the Swedish-language version of "SOS") from being one of the greatest concept albums of the '70s. Bosse Carlgren's lyrics are thought- provoking while accessible to varied interpretation, and Fältskog's surprisingly strong melodies, arranged and engineered to the perfection she and her fans came to demand, are still fresh and listenable 35 years later. The meteoric rise of ABBA prevented Fältskog and Carlgren from fully realizing this album's potential; whether you acquire this album (somewhat difficult to do, sadly) as a fan of Agnetha or of ABBA, as a casual listener, or with a knowledge of the Swedish language or not, you're in for a wonderful surprise! |
